Diving into a Unique Steam Game Trial: Controlling a Poop on a Quest to Reach the Toilet

Steam Next Fest is currently underway, and enthusiasts have encountered a variety of interesting indie games. However, one catches the eye for its offbeat concept. Titled Unko Technica, this classic-feel jumping adventure features a hero that is literally a turd trying to navigate to a toilet. For those curious, "Unko" means "poop."

How you interact is simple: you only need a one button to leap. In one hundred fifty challenges, battle mini-bosses and visit a shop to acquire skins for your fecal avatar.

Execute your movements carefully, since one mistake means restarting the level. Jump off floating orbs to hurl yourself higher, traverse crumbling surfaces, and touch buttons to reveal new areas. Earn UN-KOINS and use them on tougher game content in which the action intensifies.

Visually, the experience features neon level designs and an amazing background music. The simple art of morphing geometric shapes may remind gamers of old favorites like Earthbound.

Even though difficult to name other games where you play as a coiled turd, gaming frequently featured fecal matter. For instance, in Death Stranding, players create grenades from character waste. Titles such as Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved utilize feces as soil enrichment. Unsurprisingly, fecal references shows up a lot in Obsidian's adventure The Stick of Truth.

Despite its silly idea, Unko Technica has already received significant recognition, including being named best at Bandai Namco's GYAAR Studio in 2023. A playable preview is ready at present on Steam, with the final release scheduled to arrive on Steam on November 19.
